Update Letter to Parish Councils – Dorset Care Record to go live from early Spring
The first phase of the Dorset Care Record will be going live in the early Spring. From that time, health and social care professionals will be asking people whether they want their record shared with the practitioners dealing with their care.
To help advise residents across Dorset we have provided a range of materials on consent issues. This includes a generic consent options leaflet, an easy read leaflet prepared by our friends at People First Dorset as well as flyers and posters explaining what people can do.
These will be available from doctor’s surgeries, libraries, council offices, community and acute hospitals across the county with copies available on our website.
We have also produced a video involving doctors, social workers and members of the public to tell the consent options story and from the beginning of January there is a dedicated telephone helpline provided by Dorset Direct at County Hall to answer any questions (Tel: 0345 200 0026)
Members of the Dorset Care Record team and our business partners will also be available at roadshows in Wimborne, Lyme Regis, Blandford Forum and Christchurch in January and Wareham, Sturminster Newton, Sherborne and Verwood in February and March, where you’ll be able to pick up a range of merchandise too.
You can find out the latest on our social media feeds (twitter, linkedin, you tube). Look out for further
information on our news pages of our website – https://news.dorsetforyou.gov.uk/dorset-care-record/
If you would like a member of the team to come and speak at one of your meetings, or would like some printed copies of the consent leaflet or flyer, please ring the Programme Management Office number on or email email@example.com
Hard copies of the consent leaflet/form will be available in the Parish Office shortly.
