Langton’s Volunteer of the Year honoured.

At a special ceremony at Westport House, Wareham on March 2nd, Langton’s previous Rights of Way Liaison Officer Ian Vaughan-Arbuckle was among nine volunteers honoured for their outstanding contributions in their local communities. District Council Chairman, Bill Trite, paid tribute to their hard work and dedication, and each was presented with a scroll. LMPC’s Vice-Chair, Cllr Pete Christie, told those present about Mr Vaughan-Arbuckle’s work in spearheading a project for the renovation of the Priest’s Way. Mr V-A also chaired an LMPC working party to look at managing access to the coast in this sensitive AONB/Heritage Coast area and completed a thorough survey of all the footpaths in the parish, His Volunteer of the Year Award reflects the grateful thanks of the community for all he has done to promote the enjoyment of paths and walking n Langton Matravers.
