Langton Matravers Parish Council wish to recruit a Clerk. The position is part time, working 45 hours per month based mainly on home working but with a minimum attendance at the Parish Office.  Attendance at evening meetings will be a requirement.  The Clerk will take overall responsibility for the Parish Council’s day to day business and will keep financial affairs in order.

It would be helpful, but not essential, for candidates to have experience in or an understanding of local government law and procedure.  The successful applicant should be confident in minute-taking, dealing with correspondence and managing financial information.  Good literacy and IT skills are essential.  Candidates will hold, or be willing to work towards, the Certificate in Local Council Administration (CiLCA). The Council is committed to providing appropriate training to enable the successful candidate to further develop their skills and expertise.

Salary will depend on experience/qualifications.
